The order candidates take the practical exam is determined by the order they have completed all requirements, including Program Design submission and payment of all fees. All candidates are required to be present at check in and are not permitted to leave until completion of their exam.

All interested potential test candidates who have not already submitted the SCCC Application, Certification Fee, and Membership Fee will need to wait until the Spring 2020 testing window to take the SCCC Exam.

All SCCC candidates and mentors are encouraged to review the SCCC Certification Handbook which can be found on the CSCCa website. This handbook provides a wealth of information that is extremely helpful in preparing for the exam.  The blue print for the SCCC certification exam has been updated recently, and the Spring 2019 exam will be based on these updates. SCCC candidates and their mentors are encouraged to review the recently updated Candidate Handbook.

Also, the written portion of the SCCC Certification Exam is offered through our computer-based testing partner (PSI) at local testing sites throughout the USA and select abroad locations. This means that candidates will take the written portion of the exam during a scheduled window of availability before they sit for the practical portion of the exam. The window of availability for the written portion of the May 2019 exam will run from Wednesday, April 3, 2019 – Wednesday, May 8, 2019.

Please note that once all requirements are submitted, your information will be sent to PSI and they will contact you about setting a time and location for your written exam.

If you have ANY questions about the status of your certification application, please contact the CSCCa National Office at or 801-375-9400.
