Continuing Education: Updates & Reminders

New CEU Contact Email:

We are excited to announce a new email specifically for CEU inquiries and submissions! Please email all CEU inquiries to ceu@cscca.org

End of CEU Report Update:

Thank you to everyone who submitted all CEU documents on time! A final CEU report regarding lapsed SCCC certification was sent on August 2, 2019.  As of August 1, 2019, all lapsed SCCC Certificants have been assessed a $50 reinstatement fee that is now reflected on each account. Once the missing requirement(s) have been submitted to the CSCCa National Office and the $50 SCCC Reinstatement fee has been paid, your SCCC Certification will be reinstated. If you completed all necessary CEU requirements by July 1, you should have received your new certificate as these were mailed on July 25. All other certificates should be received within 6-8 weeks.

Please check the address on your CSCCa account to make sure it is correct as this is where the new certificate will be sent unless you have instructed the CSCCa National Office otherwise in writing.  Please be aware there will be a $10 fee to re-mail any returned certificates!

Please feel free to reach out to the CSCCa National Office at 801.375.9400 or info@cscca.org with any questions or concerns.

Obtaining CEUs:

It isn’t too early to start obtaining CEUs! If you participated in an event, course, or clinic during the summer break and would like to obtain CEU credit, be sure to email the CSCCa National Office a detailed course itinerary and verification of attendance at ceu@cscca.org.

Important CPR/AED/First Aid Requirement Changes:

Members must submit a CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification card that will be current as of July 31, 2022. We recommend going through the American Red Cross, the American Heart Association, or the National Safety Council. While hands-on courses are ideal and strongly recommended, effective August 1, 2019, First Aid Courses are no longer required to include a hands-on portion.

Please be aware that this change does not affect the CPR/AED requirement. CPR/AED MUST include a hands-on portion and courses completed solely online will not be accepted.
