Ethan Reeve, Stacey Torman Elected To Lead CSCCa

Ethan Reeve, Assistant Director of Athletics, Sports Performance, at Wake Forest University, was recently elected to serve as President of the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches association (CSCCa) by the organization’s 14-member Board of Directors.

Stacey Torman, Director of Strength & Conditioning for Olympic Sport at the University of Alabama-Birmingham, was elected as the organization’s Vice President.

Both of these individuals have more than 25 years of experience in the field and had a tremendous impact on the profession, as well as on an innumerable number of student-athletes who have had the privilege of training under their supervision.

“We are grateful to have both Ethan and Stacey serving on the CSCCa Board of Directors in these leadership roles,” said CSCCa Executive Director Dr. Chuck Stiggins. “They both have a wealth of knowledge and experience that is of immense value to this organization and to the Board.  They are a tremendous asset, and we are fortunate to have them leading this organization. We appreciate their willingness to serve in this capacity. They are both truly outstanding strength and conditioning professionals.”

The CSCCa was established in May 2000 to meet the specific and unique needs of collegiate strength and conditioning coaches around the country. Both inaugural members of the CSCCa, Ethan was inducted as a Master Strength and Conditioning Coach (MSCC) at the May 2008 Induction Ceremony and has served on the CSCCa Board of Directors since 2009, while Stacey, the first female Master Strength and Conditioning Coach, was inducted as an MSCC in May 2004 and has served on the Board since that time.

Prior to Reeve and Torman’s election, Jeff Madden and Kevin Yoxall served as CSCCa President and Vice President respectively, since 2009. Both have given a great deal of time and effort to serve the CSCCa and promote the strength and conditioning coaching profession. The CSCCa is grateful for their contributions and their leadership.
