Health And Safety Precautions For 2021 CSCCa National Conference

In accordance with our mission statement and staying true to our mission as an organization for the promotion of education, unity, and respect, we would like to provide you with the health and safety precautions we are implementing at our upcoming national conference.

Education of our coaches being a top priority, we understand that access to continuing education opportunities is of utmost importance. We will be providing an in-person option for those able to safely attend the national conference in Fort Worth, Texas, May 5th -7th. For those unable to travel or who are uncomfortable traveling at this time, we will be providing a virtual conference option that will become available after the national conference concludes. The date this will become available has not been determined but we will keep you updated.

Unity is what keeps us joined as a whole and allows us to provide a home for collegiate and professional strength and conditioning coaches.  We are united in taking steps above and beyond the CDC guidelines to provide a safe environment at the national conference.

As you may be aware, an executive order has been issued by the Governor of Texas regarding the full re-opening of the State and its easing of restrictions. The State is relying upon cities and local towns, as well as businesses, to dictate their own safety protocols. After much deliberation between the CSCCa and the Omni Fort Worth, Sheraton Fort Worth, Fort Worth Convention Center, and Fort Worth Visitors Bureau, we have been reassured that despite the governor’s order, all hosting venue sites will follow CSCCa requirements for implementing high standards of health and safety.

The safety of our membership, affiliated sponsors, vendors, and associates continues to be among our highest priorities. As such, our requirements of mitigating the spread of Covid at the CSCCa National Conference will look very similar to the responses many of your institutions have taken to create a safe environment for everyone.

Following CDC guidelines, when visiting any CSCCa sponsored event, all attendees, vendors, and visitors are required to:

  • Practice safe social distancing with a minimum of 6 feet of separation
  • Wear a face covering at all times
  • Practice healthy hygiene by washing hands frequently with soap and water and utilizing hand sanitizer stations
  • Monitor their own health and follow CDC guidelines and CSCCa Best Practices

These practices are consistent with CDC and expected to be followed by attendees and participants throughout the duration of the CSCCa 2021 National Conference.

We understand that everyone has been impacted in different ways from Covid. For those of you who have lost someone dear to you, we send our deepest condolences. We honor and respect your decision to participate in whatever capacity you are most comfortable with during these challenging times.

Thank you all for understanding the health and safety measures we are taking to provide a safe environment at the 2021 CSCCa National Conference for everyone. Following these mandates together, I am confident that we will be able to provide a safe environment, and I am incredibly proud and grateful to have you as a member of our organization.

Sincerely,

Scott Bennett
