We have a great 2019 National Conference planned with many outstanding speakers who will be addressing a variety of topics of great relevance to the field of strength and conditioning which includes an assortment of presentation formats such as panels, roundtables, traditional PowerPoint and many hands-on workshops! 2017 CSCCa National Conference: Hotel, Registration And Speaker Info Now Available!
The time has come to begin thinking about the 2017 CSCCa National Conference. The conference will be held Wednesday, May 10, through Friday, May 12, 2017, in Orlando, Florida, at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort and Convention Center. We have great speakers and activities planned, so you will not want to miss this exciting event! Please plan to stay through the conference sessions which end at 1:30 p.m. on Friday as we have an outstanding speaker line-up on Friday and you will not want to miss these great presentations. In addition, please remember that attending the national conference each year is the most effective and time efficient way to fulfill annual CEU requirements.
Arlington Heights
Kathy Crowe-Wagner, MSCC, is the head strength and conditioning coach at the University of Texas – Arlington. She primarily works with volleyball, softball, and track and field, but also has her finger on the pulse of all athletic performance. She is also a member of the CSCCa’s Certification Commission.
CSCCa Conference Overflow-Hotel Information
The Fort Worth Omni is currently full but may have rooms open up over the coming weeks due to cancellations. The same situation applies for overflow hotels: Courtyard Fort Worth Downtown/Blackstone, Sheraton Fort Worth Hotel. We do have two additional overflow hotels, however, that are still accepting room reservations at a discounted rate for the 2016 CSCCa National Conference.
GATORADE PRE-CONFERENCE SESSION: An Assessment Of Today’s Top Recovery Modalities
Recovery is a hot topic and gaining prominence for its role in athletic performance. The best recovery programs incorporate both nutrition and proven modalities. This session will review some of the most talked about recovery modalities, including sleep, physical treatments (compression, stretching, foam rolling, hot-cold contrast), and nutrition. The session will provide insight on the latest research and offer practical tips for successful recovery for your athletes.
