The SCCC is not an everyday certification. To commit to, and complete, the entire process of the certification is no easy task. Once it is earned, it is of utmost importance to maintain it by earning all continuing education units required by the CSCCa.
Hello everyone, and welcome to June! I first want to thank all who attended the 2022 CSCCa National Conference. What a great turnout, and wonderful success. We were excited to hold our first full in person conference since 2019. We were only 200 attendees away from the largest crowd we have ever hosted. To those of you that came, we thank you.
Hello CSCCa coaches, sponsors, exhibitors and guests, welcome to the 2022 CSCCa National Conference! We are excited about our first totally in-person event since 2019. We are happy you are here and are certain you will have a great experience! We assembled what we believe is an all-star speaker line up and are incredibly happy that our generous sponsors and exhibitors have come together to help provide a conference experience that is second to none.
Hello CSCCa members, and Happy April! I trust you all are having a great spring, and your teams are doing well. As we get closer to the 2022 CSCCa National Conference, I want to touch on a few points.

In this month’s CEO Message, I want to dive into the spirit of the CSCCa. Historically, there has always been a spirit of giving, sharing and leaving the ground more fertile than you found it.
Let’s continue our conversation with regards to student athlete mental health. As an integral part of the performance model, we as strength and conditioning coaches play a very important part in the mental health landscape of the student athlete.
I want to share a few “Ha Ha’s and Aha’s” while sharing with you on how we as strength coaches can impact the days and lives of our most precious entity, the student athlete.
In light of the spotlight on mental health at the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo, it is a great time for all of us as coaches to pause and give great consideration to the topic of mental health in collegiate athletics.
I hope this message finds you all doing well and in the midst of great summer workouts. I am sure many of you have had student athletes back on campus for some time, while others may just now be getting your teams back this week. Summer training has always been a great time to make significant strength gains, build new and improved work capacities and great conditioning. It is also a great time to build a solid team bond.
As you know, the national conference is always a great experience. The conference is packed with dynamic speakers, great exhibitors, and excellent opportunities for networking, as well as catching up with old friends and colleagues.
As announced in the December issue of CSCCa Monthly, Dr. and Mrs. Stiggins will be leaving their positions within the CSCCa. The CSCCa Board of Directors has selected a new executive team to lead the organization.
